Is Frederick, Maryland safe?

There has been an ongoing saga in Frederick, Maryland surrounding the army base, Fort Detrick. The issue is over health warnings and a possible cancer cluster that is currently being investigated.

400 acres, known as Area B owned by Fort Detrick, was the Army base's storage and dumping ground for many years. One chemical known to be tested, sprayed, and dumped in the area is Agent Orange.

Cancer victim loses battle

Debra Cross, the ex-wife of local activist Randy White, died Friday morning after battling stage four renal cell carcinoma for months.  
Cross was born Sept. 6, 1957, and graduated from Frederick High School, according to her Facebook page. She married White and raised three children in Frederick: Kristen White-Hernandez, Angie Pieper and Brandon White. When she and Randy White divorced, Cross stayed in...
